To vote is to contribute towards the future of our country. No matter how large or small a part of society your role is, everyone counts the same in elections. A farmer’s vote is weighted the same as a tech developer’s, which is the same as a high school teacher’s. Everyone has the freedom to vote, and vote in accordance to how they feel. 

The farmer. They wish for domestic crops and resources to be given priority and for the future of America to be put first. They value someone who is true to their word, will establish good relations, and will promote peace. They are of humble living and enjoys their life, they have no desire for change.

The tech developer. They wish for the world to embrace technology and for ideas to be shared digitally. They value someone who recognizes the value that technology could play in domestic and foreign affairs if utilized properly. They are a believer in a new age of living and learning in a world filled with technology.

The teacher. They wish for education to become the main priority in our nation, for the next generation to be given the attention that they deserve in order to create a better America. They value someone who pushes an agenda to increase high school graduation rates, college attendance rates, and lowers unemployment. They are of the belief that the rising generation is the most important.

And yet, even with their different values and beliefs, these people contribute towards a system of voting that allows everyone an equal opportunity. An equal opportunity to express, to believe, and to exist. They exist together, for it is their contribution of voting which means so much toward the future of our country.
