Mexico MAG
A big round of applause for Stephanie M.’s poem, “Mexico.” This beautiful poem shows the side of Mexico not many people see. It represents those who work hard and sacrifice for their families. This poem shuts down the disgusting assumption that Mexico is full of dangerous criminal cartels and contradicts the hurtful comments coming from some of today’s politicians.
Mexico flexed its muscles during the earthquake in September. It showed how it is just as strong as other nations and how, when in danger, the people are united. I hope readers recognize that Mexico has the same values and dreams as its neighbors. This poem was excellent and meaningful to Mexicans everywhere in the world.
