Body Shaming: The Skinny Stance
I agree with Nandini K.'s article Body Shaming: The skinny stance because the message brought up in this article is so underrated and almost never spoken about. Skinny shaming is just as bad as fat shaming and a majority society doesn't tend to speak up or take action of that because it is so stereotypical to think that "skinny is pretty". That is not the case, In the article it states " My body size determined my sense of womanhood" (1). The truth is, there is no perfect size because no matter how you physically look like people will always find a way to judge you no matter what your size is. Learning to embrace your body is such a beautiful act of self love and appreciation and we all deserve to love ourselves because our body is only ours that we get to love and cherish for the rest of our lives so might as well love what we got.
