To Be a Princess
I found Maya V.’s article “To Be a Princess,” to be very touching. The article is about Maya who is at a parade with her little cousin, Anika. The parade shows a blonde, beautiful woman as a princess. Anika, in all her innocence, asks Maya if she could be princess, leading to Maya trying to prove anyone can be a princess; not just beautiful, blondes. It touches me how Maya tries to prove people wrong. I feel we should all be as brave as Maya relating to our different circumstances. Thank you Maya for opening our eyes and leaving us with the hope of being able to break our boundaries.
