The Ugly Sweater
I found Alicia G.’s article, “The Ugly Sweater” extremely moving and thoughtful. She writes, “I love that ugly sweater because it represents a family tradition, and family is important.” I too love and care about family. It is pleasant to spend time with family because we get to talk and bond. Another idea I enjoyed about Alicia’s article is that objects do not have to be worth a lot of money to be truly valued by someone. Alicia’s sweater may be a bit old, but she describes it as beautiful with a “variety of colors.”
Thank you, Alicia for showing us the true value of simple objects and family tradition.
