Review on Fifty Days with Alice
My reaction to "Fifty Days with Alice" written by Kelly was shocking. I did not think it would be about anorexia when I read the title. This article also made me want to thank nurses more. Kelly's one nurse told her, "We aren't going to let you die. You're worth too much," shows that nurses do care and we need to realise that more. I also liked how Kelly explained all the medical terms. A NG-tube is not something everyone knows. She states it as, "a device that manually pumps nutrition into your stomach." This article did not leave me confused, but it did leave me wanting to learn more about eating disorders.
