Feedback on Instructions for a Happy Day
Catherine Sleeman teaches readers how to have a genuinely happy day in "Instructions for a Happy Day," telling us to do things we wouldn't normally intentionally do. From the well-crafted metaphors to the captivating similes, this piece made me grin from ear to ear.
It starts off saying that we will wake up early, if we are going to have a happy day. As the day proceeds, we will catch a bus on time (maybe a few minutes late, because a bus being on time is too much to ask), and appreciate the beauty of the world. Then we will respect and speak to other willingly, with a smile on our faces. I couldn't agree more. We are our own sources of happiness — if we don't surround ourselves with people and things that make us happy, how can we be joyful?
I loved this work from beginning to end. It was beautifully written, and on top of that, it was positive. Thank you, Catherine. You made me smile by just writing. I'll definitely be at my happiest from today on.
