Coming Home to the Hospital
I wholeheartedly can relate to Caroline Pease. I absolutely love her shattering story about her mother. In the article Caroline states, “I found what I wanted: memories. Memories laced in pain, but memories nonetheless.” I can relate to this because of the way I when my grandmother passed away and how I still feel 7 years later. I used to not want to feel pain but when I felt pain is when the best memories would strike my mind. I would agree with Caroline because it is better to have those memories and the pain behind them than to completely forget the loved one you have lost.
