Why I Hated "The Fault in Our Stars"

“Why I Hated ‘The Fault in Our Stars’” written by Emily G. makes a really good point.  She says that the movie “The Fault in our Stars” glorifies the illness.  I’m sure many of you have seen the movie or read the book.  They try to make it seem like the cancer is what gave her a guy to talk to.

Emily Garber’s dad has brain cancer.  This brain cancer has caused many negative things in her life.  She never mentions the positive things, which would mean there isn’t very many.  She didn’t find the book or movie something to cry about because she knew the true story behind cancer.  I also found this story relatable because I went through the very same thing with my grandpa.  This bone cancer he had didn’t make anything better.  I would recommend any “The Fault in Our Stars” fans to read this article and just think about it.
