Valentine's Date For One
A big round of applause for Madison Endicott for her article “Valentine’s Day for One.” Her story if the date she took herself explains exactly what other single ladies out there may be going through. I thought she was very brave in taking herself on a date, I don’t think I would be able to do that. I realized that Valentines Day is sadly another reminder of our loneliness and that we mindlessly live with throughout the year but then there's this one day out of the whole year that many dread.
All the people that don’t have a special someone for that day have to go around seeing girls with abnormally large teddy bear and all the beautiful roses that by the fourth day manage to wither away. Meanwhile for the rest of us we are stuck for a whole day with a constant reminder that we are alone. Her experience with the message to not feel so bad about not having a Valentine, although not successful, was an eye opening experience. As a result, I thank her and congratulate her on the article.
