Midnight's Grip
I felt “Midnight’s Grip”, by Zane Draper was a well-written horror story. It described the terrifying experience that happened to the character Tyler in the middle of the night. The story even begins with Tyler awakening from a nightmare. It starts to deeply intrigue the reader when a noise is heard outside of his bedroom, and he goes to investigate. I felt the line “Almost unconsciously, Tyler reached for the doorknob” pulled you deeper in. There was a great usage of details describing every horrifying second. The last line left you to decide for yourself what exactly would happen to Tyler.
