Summer Nights MAG
"Summer Nights" by Petra D. was very interesting. I was touched by the story. I cannot imagine what it would be like to be raped, and reading about it in this fictional format informed me.
The fact is, many girls and women are raped every day. I personally know five who have been, and they have all told me they would rather keep quiet about it. After it happened they did nothing because they were horribly embarrassed it had happened to them. I have not read many stories about rape; the idea of it bothers me.
I am glad that you allowed this piece in Teen Ink. I am sure that some girls can relate to this. It helped me understand what the girls have gone through and how they suffered. This piece was very well written and I am glad I got the chance to read it.
