A Show for the World to See
As I looked through the poetry section in Teen Ink I noticed a title stating “A Show for the World to See.” As I read, I started to vividly picture a string puppet being manipulated by the puppet master. This poem made me think of how some relationships are like a puppet show with one person being able to manipulate the other one either by belittling them or making them feel victorious.
I really liked the third stanza because it made me question whether I myself am a puppet being manipulated or the puppet master. I see my self being able to manipulate people easily but I still wonder how they look at me. The poem itself was very good and being able to picture it so well just amazed me.
