I can strongly relate to Lilly’s article “Rip Currents”, especially when Lilly said all those little responses to her friend, it’s almost like she’s numb by her own pain of being lost. I myself am lost and stuck in a mental state I don’t want to have a hold of me, but somehow keeps coming back as if there is more that needs to be done, I sit there alone by a window wondering if I’ll be genuinely happy again, if the people I trust will stop betraying me, and if these scars on my wrist will disappear, but I feel like things will get worse not because I’m not trying but because no one is there by my side to listen, to tell me everything will be alright, or to check up on me. Reading “Rip Currents” was like reading my own personal journal and I hope no one ever has to feel that pain or has to experience that sense of being lost, thank you Lilly for opening up and letting others understand what you have gone through.
