We Journey Together
Look long on a family of trees today. Climb one and sense the emerald blood flowing inches beneath your fumbling human form. Hands glide over smooth bark, rough bark, peeling bark, of trees that weather the most merciless of storms with a steadfast resiliency. Centuries pass as mere years to many precious elders. Hug a tree; the ancient beasts sigh when two frail limbs of ours wrap around their trunk and fit. Connection- two miracles home to a gift of life, of existence and experience. Neither tree nor man understands. Both simply live. Trees are divine and divinely under appreciated, but I do love them.
