I'll Play Along
It’s funny
You think you can call me names,
And talk down to me.
But you cannot.
You are below me
Lacking of self confidence
You look to people like me,
To get your fill, your rush, your “joy”
But think not.
For I know better.
I know the little games you play
The looks, the laughing, the names
I’ve heard them all.
I don’t care.
Because your opinion on me means nothing.
For I am strong.
Beautiful.
Independent.
I choose who I am, not you.
So go back to your games,
And I’ll just simply play along.
