Beneath the Mask
My biggest bully isn't a person, it's my depression. Depression alters your senses in a way one could never imagine. You see things differently, hear things differently, and feel things differently. You know somethings wrong, but everyone says you are fine. It's amazing how wrong one can be. To get through the day you put on a mask, you don't let anyone see beneath. Someone will ask if you are okay and you want to say no, you want to scream, but all you can manage to say is "I'm fine."

I wrote this hoping to show others suffering from depression that they aren't alone.
