Life, Promises, and Lies
You know how we all want an average good life? Well, I don’t think it’s that hard of a thing to ask for. If everyone would live simply, others would simply live. I find it funny how life is just made up of choices. Choices that contradict every previous promise we have made and go against our moral values. We all take that No drugs oath when we’re 5, yet we all are druggies in a sense. A drug is an addiction and we are all addicts of something. We all promise our parents we won’t drink before we’re 21. We all have our friends hold back our hair at some point in our high school career. We all say we will never break a heart, yet people ache inside every second of every minute of every day. We all go into a class room defending the planet, while we walk out and waste a ton of paper writing an essay about global warming. We hug our friends and tell them we love their new hair, while we roll our eyes and trash them once he or she is gone. We all are a part of a group of diverse people who act like their one huge happy family, yet outside of that weekly meeting, we act like we don’t know each other when we see each other on the street. We all follow the same pattern and hum the same tune. We all say one thing and then do the complete opposite. We are all supposed to be unique, but really, we’re all the same. We all say perfection is impossible. But if we all tried a little harder and went against that previous statement, like we commonly do with everything else, maybe we all could be perfect.
