The Only Option “He’s been suffering for a long time; I couldn’t live with myself if I let him continue this way.”
“Well you’ve come to the right place, quick and humane is our policy here.”
He threw his head up, revealing a pair of puffy, glistening eyes, “euthanasia?”
“Absolutely. He won’t even feel it at all.”
He sighed a deep sigh and put his head down again.
The doctor began to console “I know this is a difficult time sir..”
“Just give me the paper…”
The doctor handed him the paper, trying to keep the upmost professionalism.
As he signs the forms his tears turn into laughter. “I feel so silly getting emotional like this, it must just be the memories.”
“I understand.”
Suddenly a large grin covers his face.
“I’m so glad you’re feeling better sir.”
“Yeah… I just thought about how satisfying it will be to watch my abusive father take his last breathe.”
