They say it's what you make
I say it's up to fate
It's woven in my soul
I need to let you go
Your eyes, they shine so bright
I want to save their light
I can't escape this now
Unless you show me how
When you feel my heat
Look into my eyes
It’s where my demons hide

Have you ever stood on the edge of something extremely high and wondered what it would feel like to fly? Have you ever felt alone in a room full of people?
Have you ever found comfort in things most people fear? All my life I've seen that which nobody else can, I've heard things nobody else believe in. I work at North
Shore medical center In salem Massachuessets, I'm a medium but I'm pretty sure I'm one of a kind.

Chapter one.

"Little bird...Little Bird." To the normal person, Being in an empty house and hearing your nickname being called would be a bit...Freaky. But for me I invited my
Grandma, Who has been dead for over 4 years... to have tea with me. My name Is Aneen, which means little bird, Once grandma started calling me that, it stuck.
"When will you stop playing with the dead and marry little bird?" She still had the same glimmer in death as she did in the flesh and sometimes it left me feeling
unsettled. I am only 29 but she insists I am well past my prime, I don't get mad or upset I simply smile at her. I'm really unsure if anyone has heard me utter a
single word...the living that is. I talk my head off to the dead. I find comfort in them, as though helping them helps me. Though it is actually quite tiring and
I spend more time with them then trying to better myself.
"Grandma..." I always whispered because my voice scared me in a way. so soft and innocent though the things in my mind could make Charles Manson blush with
emberassment."Grandma, have you seen lucy? She died yesterday and I have yet to see her, i'm worried."
" You're worried she passed and you didn't get a chance to say goodbye aren't you? Oh my Aneen... I really do wish you would put us all behind you and get on with
yourself."
"How am I supposed to do that? I'm a medical examiner, people die by the dozens every day in my hospital and they are all over me while I try to work! it's like they
tell their buddies that the red head with the funny accent is a claryovoyant who doesn't say no to anyone. Think about how fraky it is when the man you're trying to
perform an autopsy on asks you to tell his wife she was right about riding the motorcycle in the dark."
The room becomes silent and I realize i'm alone again. This always happens when I need to release tension. They get interested and something pulls them away from me...
My pathetic little life seems it will always be dismal...

the day seems to fly by as I sit anxiously waiting for my shift to start, how terrible is that? The place is always so dead... hahaha just joking.

I like the idea. It kind of reminds me of "Ghost Whisperer" which used to play on tv. Keep up the idea; I tink it has potential to be very good!

I enjoyed the beginning. Was that the prologue? Going back and checking for spelling and capitalization would improve the piece tremendously. I think also you could use a bit more editing within the chapter. Nice start! :)
