August 2022 fiction contest: Evil Cat
Mom dunks my head in the water when I’m naughty.
When the evil cat stole my favorite sweater, I decided to teach it a lesson.
I snagged it from the window at midnight, tiptoed away into the forest, and traveled down to the lake.
The evil cat hissed and struggled as I kneeled on the grass, lowering it into the water.
I dunked it, pulled it back up, and continued till the hissing stopped.
I got up, brushed the grass off my knees and skipped along until it became chilly.
I untied my favorite sweater from my waist and wore it.
