It was a typical monday afternoon. Like always I leave school at 2:15 and walk to the subway. I live in New York City, so I have to take the subway everywhere. I go to a private school in the upper east side but I live in the Bronx. The only reason I go to the private school is because I earned a full ride scholarship for Academics. If it wasn’t for the scholarship, I would be at a crappy school closer to my apartment. I live with my mom, my dad died when I was 9. My parents tried for another kid, but my mom always had trouble getting pregnant, they always called me their miracle baby. My mom does the best she can to give me a good life, that means she spends a lot of time on trips for work and no a lot of time with me. When she is out of town, either my grandmother or my Aunt Liv and cousin, Amara, stay with me. This week my mom was in Florida, so my aunt and cousin are staying with me. I like having them stay at my house, but my cousin can be a tad bit annoying sometimes. She’s 8, so she always wants to hangout with me and my friends and try to be like us older girls, but we let here. She just wants to be a big girl, I get it. After I get off the subway, I still have a mile walk to get home. Usually, I stop at the food mart and get a snack for myself and I pick up a little treat for Amara. I was about to enter the store when I noticed this weird man staring at me from across the street. I had seen him a few times before, but this time I had a weird feeling. So instead of going into the store, I headed straight home. I wanted to get home before that guy could catch up with me. I didn’t want him to see me running from him, so once I was around the corner, I darted for my apartment. Once he got around the corner too, he started to run after me. I was freaking out. I didn’t know why he wanted me. I didn’t do anything to him, I wasn’t worth anything. I didn’t understand. Once I got to the stairs of my apartment building, I ran into the door and locked it from the inside, but the guy was nowhere to be seen. I was a little relieved, but then I saw this blue van driving slowly on the street. Inside was the man that was chasing me, another man, and a women. I was so scared and worried, I just had to get upstairs and talk to my aunt. When I got upstairs, the front door was open a little. I ran in the door and yelled for Aunt Liv and Amara. They were nowhere to be found. The apartment was a mess, everything was on the floor, chairs were turned over, food was out of the fridge. I came to the conclusion that they had been kidnapped. Those men in the van must have kidnapped them. That lady in the back might have been Aunt Liv. I had to face my fears and get my aunt and cousin back. I quickly changed my clothes and grabbed some money from my mom’s dresser. I got my mom’s car keys and ran out the door. My mom’s car is a black Ford Fusion. I was so glad that it was getting dark because it would be hard for the men to tell it was me in the car. The car also had very tinted windows, so that made it even harder. I drove down to the restaurant where I first saw the man, and looked for the blue van. When I got there, the van wasn’t there but the other man, who was driving the van before was there. He was in a red Chevy Cruze. I followed the car to a old, broken down factory. The van was at the factory, too. As soon as I saw the man was in the factory, I grabbed my bag, which has a knife, pepper spray, and my cell phone, and flashlight. I ran to the other door which had a window and looked for my Aunt and Amara. The were so many rooms in the building but only one room had a light. I snuck in the door and ran to the room with the light on. Aunt Liv and Amara were tied up in there. The door was locked. I tried to pick it when all the light turned on and ten guys came out of the rooms with guns pointed towards me...
