Noah and Clarissa couldn’t be more like polar opposites. Clarissa was shy and Noah was the life of the party. Noah was a business major, Clarissa was a dance major. But one night they found each other and their lives were forever changed.
9:00
“ Clare! You have to come to this party. You promised me that you would go to a party some time this semester.” Layla reminded Clarissa as she put on another layer of lip gloss. Layla was Clarissa’s room mate, and was a dance major too.
“ Do I have to? Can’t I just go to the a christmas party later this year?” Clarissa begged, she was still in her sweatpants and leotard from her last class of the day.
Layla threw a dress at Clarissa and said “ Put this on”.  Hestily she put on the green dress, the threw a jean jacket on top of it. Layla then handed her nude high heels.
“ Are these really necessary?”
“ Of course they are!” Layla exclaimed in disbelief. So Clarissa slipped them on but also put a pair of converse in her purse.
10:00
Noah was already at the party when Clarissa arrived. This was where Noah felt most comfortable, among the other college kids is where he could relax. Noah spotted Clarissa across the room. Her face was lit up by the screen of her phone. She didn’t wear much makeup just some mascara and blush. Her wavy, brown hair framed her face and he was entranced with her.
“ Hi.” Noah said as he approached her.
“ Hello.” Clarissa murmured. She was reading an article on Misty Copeland and the show she was just in. Clarissa didn’t cared if people said hi to her but if they couldn’t take the hint that she didn’t want to have a conversation then they must be idiots.
“ What’s your name” Noah asked.
“ Clarissa.”
“ Clarissa? That’s pretty. How come I haven’t seen you around before.” Noah could tell she didn’t want to talk to him but he wasn’t gonna quit that easy.
“ This isn’t really my scene.” Clarissa realized that this guy wasn’t going away and that she was gonna have to engage in what she assumed would be a tortuous conversation about her major and where she grew up. She looked up and there was Noah Wright, the football super star, sure he was adorable but she knew that he wasn’t always the nicest guy to meet at a party.
11:00
Clarissa was surprised. Noah had been able to hold an actual conversion that wasn’t about petty things like, how many girls he had kissed that week or how strong he was. They talked about politics, like how Hillary would do wonders for women’s rights but might be a bit of a military tyrant and Trump is just the worst... period. They had somehow gotten on the topic of hometowns. Clarissa said that she came from a small town in Colorado, Noah was a New York City native.
“ I haven’t done that much sight seeing yet.” Clarissa said.
“Wait have you been to Jane’s Carousel?” Noah asked
“No…”
“We have to go right now!” he told her, then went outside to hail a taxi.
12:00
They got out of the taxi and he took her hand then ran down the block. When they finally stopped they were in front of Jane’s carousel. Noah’s friend worked there and would sneak them in after hours regularly. So when noah asked for the key his friend had no issue with it.
“ You gotta learn to have fun at some point in your life why not tonight!” Noah joked          “ I bet you were one of those kids in high school. The ones who never drank and never snuck out past curfew. What did you get on your SAT? Did you go to those clinics that taught you how to take the SAT ‘right’?” He pick a horse to sit on and kick up his feet as if he owned the whole city.
“ If you're referring to SAT and PSAT prep groups then yes in fact I led those study groups! I got a 2400… a perfect score. Sure I didn’t drink but when you have ballet every saturday and sunday morning at 6:00 is hard to find time to be hungover.” Clarissa sat backwards on a blue and gold horse so she could see Noah. He was so nonchalant about the whole evening as if this was a weekly thing for him. He was saw calm and charming. Noah closed his eyes and hoped that she couldn’t see how nervous he was. She was so pretty, and was easy to talk. She wouldn’t just agree with him. She actually had a brain and wouldn’t be afraid to challenge what he said with her own opinion.

1:00
“Ok you’ve shown me, your favorite spot in NYC. Now I’m gonna show you mine.” Clarissa told him as he locked up the carousel.
“ I thought you didn’t go to the tourist-y spots?” Noah teased.
“ This isn’t a spot tourists go.”
So they hopped in a Uber and headed to Lyceum Theatre.
“Won’t that be closed?” Noah asked
“ Wasn’t the carousel closed?” Clarissa joked. Clarissa had danced at the Lyceum Theatre for some of her classes. There was a secret way to break in if you take the fire escape near the stage door. They payed the Uber driver and started to climb up the fire escape. Clarissa lost her footing but Noah caught her.
“ What is with you dancers and falling? Shouldn’t you be more coordinated?” Noah teased. His arms wrapped around her, their faces were only centimeters apart. Clarissa wished she could just kiss him but she knew that was a bad idea so she picked herself up and started to climb again. Noah wished he could have been more swav. He could have made him move, he could have kissed her but she moved too fast. After they climbed through the window he looked at where they were.
Clarissa sighed “I’m home”
  2:00
She had given him full tour of the theatre.
3:00
She finally finished the full tour of the theatre.
“ And this is my dressing room.” Clarissa said “ Well mine and the rest of the corps de ballet” There were pictures of Clarissa and her friends on the mirrors and little notes written in lipstick. One picture stood out to Noah it was a picture of Clarissa alone on stage he wore a long blue tutu.
“ That photo is from my semester grade. We were each given a style of dance I got ballet  had to choreograph for that style.
“ You're beautiful.”Noah said. He surprised them both when he said it. She was indeed beautiful but he had never been that honest with a girl before.
She blushed the said “ Would you mind if we went back to my dorm room, I have class at seven and I need to grab my stuff.” Noah followed Clarissa out of the dressing room but not before taking the photo of her and hiding it in his pocket.
4:00
The taxi ride back to campus was long and Clarissa would occasionally dozed off on Noah's shoulder. He liked being close to her. She just surprised him in every way possible
5:00
When they finally arrived at her dorm room Clarissa told Noah he had to be silent when  she grabbed her stuff for ballet. “Hey I’m gonna change and take a shower, I’ll be right back.” He waited out side her door. She walked out in a red leotard and sweatpants her hair all pulled back in a bun.
6:00
Slowly they walked towards the dance studio making small talk.
“ Oh, look the sun rise. Should we stop and watch?” Noah asked as he yawned
“ yeah sure.”
They sat in silence as the sky went from dark purple to pink to red to yellow then finally to blue. The stars faded away and Noah hoped the magic of the night wouldn't fade to.  He wanted to stay there in that moment, holding her hand, under a tree, in the quad. It didn’t matter to him that she was in sweatpants and he was in last night's clothes, she was still gorgeous, just like she was in the photo.
7:00
“ Well this is my class” Clarissa said as they reached the dance hall. She didn’t want the night to end, but she needed to get to class.
“ Wait! When will I see you again?” He asked
“You’ll find away.” Clarissa said as she walked into class. That is when Noah realized that, her picture was on posters with dates and times for a show. That was it that was the answer. He was gonna see her again ...at her show.
