Hey Jase,

It's nearing month number four of your coma, and I keep waiting for you to wake up and yell "Haha! I got you guys good!" I miss you, a lot. I want my best friend back. I can't handle sitting alone at lunch, or walking to English with people I don't even like. I need you back, and I need you in my life again.

I've done a lot of soul thinking, or whatever it's called, and I've realized that all this time you've been more than my best friend. You're my soul mate. The one I want to be with for the rest of my life. This isn't pity talk either. These last three months have been absolute hell without you, and as soon as you get better, I'm going to tell you to your face. I'm just going to come out and say it, no matter how you react. As soon as you get better, trust me you will. And then we can go to the beach and sit by our tree, and laugh at how funny the seagulls walk. And I can look at you, right in your eyes, and tell you that has been tearing me up inside.

Ican't wait to sit with you at lunch again, because ever since I told Mr. Pinter that I've been writing letters to you, people have left piles of notes on our table. And honestly, I didn't think that half the people even knew who we were. It's been people we've never talked to before. Brady from physics left one, but he said it was from his "mom." Even Kitty from geometry gave me one, but it was when we were in the parking lot after school and no one was there to witness it happening. Still, it's the thought that counts. Ms. Jeller from yearbook misses you a lot as well. There was a play last week and in class she was listing off everyone's assignment for the week. She started off with your name, and then realized her mistake. It was so sad; I had to leave the room.

We miss you Jase, a lot. We're ready for you to wake up, anytime now. Whenever it rains, I think of you; whenever the sun shines, I think of you. All the time, my thoughts are about you, and I can't think about anything else. I just want to hug you, and drive around town with you, and eath with you, and just be with you. I love you Jase. So much it hurts to think about it. You never realize how important someone is to you until that someone is gone. We have half a chance left, Jase, and we need to take it and run with it. The journey when you wake up will be crazy, but when we're on the steepest mountains or in the darkest nights, the view will be beautiful. I'm ready when you're ready. I'll be there when you wake up.

See you later,

Meveya.
