The loud, sonorous song ended and the audience applauded. I smiled and looked at him, my boyfriend, clapping along. He looked back at me and smiled, his eyes squinting in joy. All night it had been endearing, listening to sweet music with my sweetheart. I turn my attention back to the stage as the applause died down that was cleared of musicians, the only two left being a dashing pianist and gorgeous violinist. She, the violinist, stood near his piano, and waited for him to begin. He took a breath and began gracefully moving their fingers on the keys.

My heart stopped, taking my breath with it.

He played for a few moments on his own before she joined in. When I heard her violin, my eyes welled up with tears. I took in small breaths, trying to calm my feelings. But the river kept flowing, and soon the tears spilled over my eyes and streamed down my face. I can't help myself. My love looked over at me and his eyes widened in shock. He leaned over and softly whispered, "Love, is everything ok...?" His smooth, silky voice was laced with concern. I barely nodded, pulling out my handkerchief. Strange how I brought it as decor for my pockets, only to use it for its intended purpose. The white cloth dampened as I dried my face, only to be dabbled in more tears as they continued to run. I couldn't stop crying. I never knew a song could make someone so teary, especially someone like me.

By now, he wasn't paying attention to the orchestra. His eyes were still on me, but I refused to look at him. He softly took my hand, the warmth of his seeping through my gloves, "Darling..." He whispered again, leaning in a bit more than before. Slowly, I turned my face to his. My eyes widened in shock.

Was he crying too...?

His eyes were runny, but he wasn't tearful yet. His face was turned to me, his body only pivoted a bit, "It's beautiful, isn't it?" He said softly with a warming smile. A light pink dusted my cheeks as they burned with overflowing emotions, his face matching mine. I couldn't help but to smile back. He stroked my hand with his thumb in a comforting way, before the violinist played her last chord. Everyone applauded, but we were still smiling at eachother. Suddenly, he chuckled and hugged my abruptley. I was shocked, but I smiled back, holding him as well.

"Silly..." I mumbled.

"I love you so much, Teo..." He said in a whisper.

I closed my eyes and chuckled, "I love you too, Toby..."
