The Resolution of Her Struggle
Julie is a two year old Type One Diabetic. She has been this way all of her life. Having Diabetes is hard not only for her, but also her family.
Julie doesn't know what high or low blood sugars feel like, and it scares her mother and father. They felt like they need to get a dog. Not any ordinary dog, but a Diabetic Alert Dog!
For many weeks Julie’s mom, Kristy, researched about these dogs and to see if it was possible to purchase one. After five weeks of constant research, she found a company. There’s just one major flaw, the dog costs $25,000! Kristy was astonished at the price! Then, she found out that she can pay it off in three years! Kristy was so ecstatic about hearing that! So ecstatic that she decided to get one right away! When she sent in the papers Kristy didn't know how long she would have to wait.
Nine Months Later

Julie and her mom were eating lunch and all of a sudden the phone rings. Kristy answers it and stars hysterical crying. she is yelling,”Call her princess! Call her Princess!”
One Month Later

Kristy gets Julie into her car seat and goes on their way to meet up with Sam, the dog trainer. They went to the town park, Eisenhower Park, to meet them. When Julie saw Princess, her eyes lit up into a magnificent glow, and she was so happy.
All day that day, they trained and trained. Princess was on top of her alerting for Julie and has already saved Julie’s life. Starting now, it seems Julie and Princess will live a long, happy and healthy life together.
