 Halloween Night
Tonight is Halloween night. Jake, my best friend and I are going out for the night. It’s a very windy night and a bit chilly but tonight is the perfect night to go Trick-or-Treating.
As we’re sitting in my room picking out our costumes and trying them on waiting for it to get dark enough to go out, my mom calls us down for dinner. We had a huge turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and amazing pumpkin pie with tea to drink.  The meal was delicious but it still isn’t time to go Trick-or-Treating yet. So we went back up to my room and we watched Halloween TV shows until it was time to go out. When my mom told us we could leave, we rushed down the stairs and grabbed our plastic pumpkins to hold our candy in and ran out the door.
We left the house around 7:30 and the time now is 9:57. Our pumpkins are overflowing with scrumptious candy and gifts. As we were walking along the sidewalk with numerous people we suddenly realized that we had no idea where we were. Jake and I just kept walking, thinking maybe we would remember one of the street names but we didn’t.  Soon, we noticed there was nobody walking beside us. The sidewalk we was walking on was dimly lit so we couldn’t see much. Jake was begging to turn around but I really wanted to keep going to see where this creepy road led.
Jake finally calmed down and we continued walking. Not too much farther down the road we seen this scary, creepy, abandoned house. He immediately was terrified and pleaded not to go any farther. He really wanted to turn around and just go home. Before we knew it, it was 11:00, my mom was probably in bed by then.  I was so interested in going to the house and at least looking around the premises. I told Jake he could stand by the light and wait for me because I was going to look at this decrepit house. As I was walking I heard dogs barking, I could smell the crisp autumn air. Each step I walked up leading to the porch squeaked. When I got up to the porch I seen cobwebs and spiders everywhere. It was pretty creepy but at the same time I love things like this. The door was wooden and looked very old. I knocked on the door and it slowly opened into a magnificent house. The inside of this house was gorgeous an old lady and her husband lived there. They invited me in and let me sit on the most comfortable couch I’ve ever sat on. They offered me candy, drinks, and dinner. So I ran back outside and got Jake to come inside with me even though he was hesitant at first, he still followed right behind me. They were some of the nicest people we had ever met. By this time it was 11:48 and we really needed to go back home because I assumed my mom was getting worried. We thought about how to get back home because we went down so many roads and we took so many turns.
We decided if we seen someone we would ask them how to get to some road we knew but there wasn’t a person in sight. Soon, we stumbled upon a young girl who was probably in her 20’s, she was wearing a witch costume. We asked her if she knew how to get us back home but she told us to follow her to her house so she could get directions. She lived in a huge beautiful brick house, at least it was beautiful on the outside. We walked in and the floors were wooden and squeaky, it was empty except for a big cauldron sitting on the kitchen table. Then Jake and I really started to get scared and we was both very thirsty from trying to find our way back home. She offered us this greenish liquid. I told her we was fine and I asked if she would get these directions for us and she said only if we try her magical drink. We both went running out of the house but the door slammed in our face. She made us go up the stairs and she locked us in a room. After a few minutes of sitting in the room we tried to open the window but it was locked. We waited and waited and we was dying of thirst. All of the sudden we heard something medal drop. It was right outside of the room and it was the key to the window. I had a pencil in my bag so I stuck it under the door and I reached the key! We unlocked the window, walked out onto the top of the house and climbed down the ladder to the ground and we ran. We ran so long we almost fell over from being so tired but we realized we was on our street. I walked home and so did Jake. I took a shower and then I layed down and fell fast asleep.
