the Town of Blue

Jace is a mysterious child that not many in the town of Blue know of, just that he is a mysterious young kid who doesn't make much sound besides from the occasional ringing of the door chime on the front door of all the shops. As much as he loves his place in the woods with his dog blick he would much rather spend it in the cozy streets of Downtown Blue. Downtown Blue is as role model of a town as it gets, Its main street is just like all the other small towns of America, with Bakeries on every corner and vendors looking for a coin in every store. Jace loved to be on Main Street, It was filled with lights above contrasting with the blue sky, brick buildings to emphasis the town’s historic past and television and warm lighting filling the sidewalks and trees adding a warm glow to the town of Blue. Each store was locally owned and there was no hurry in the small town. Everyone knew everyone, except the little boy named jace. As he looks into the Shop called ‘Vanilla’s Bakery Shop,’ owned by the sweetest old lady, a lady that the locals call ‘Mama Olavander.’ He couldn’t help but stare down onto the amazingly handcrafted bagels and treats with every color and swirl dressing the store front, all made by Mrs Olavander. He glances away from his trance of the exquisite expensive treats and started to walk down the Holiday decorated Main street with beautiful intricate raw iron street lamps with garland beautifying the posts, They repeated all until you hit the roundabout on the intersection of Market and Main. In the middle of the roundabout was the most beautiful pavilion in the city, painted blue to match the town’s name it had a koi pond that never froze, just like the towns old spirit and also raw iron gas lamps that circled the pavilion. Jace walked through the park, quietly as he normally does. He solemnly walked back onto Market he started into a sprint until he hit the dirt roads north of Blue, here there were non-harvested Wheat Fields with the treeline spanning the Horizon. If you looked back you could see the terrace Marketplace and lights of Main and Market glowing in the frosty morning of the anticipated holiday season. Jace loved that town, That town was what made him happy for a change, the people and the atmosphere made him turn and glance up at that town on the hill, wit that he had a little smile on his face and turned for the woods.
