I like You
Dear Gabriela,
At night I attended a party in my friend Lourdes’ house. They celebrated the birthday of your little sister. Many people attended the party and Lourdes’ sister received many presents.
The party started at 9:00 PM. Many people didn’t arrive until 10:00 PM. A group of mariachis sung <Las Mañanitas> to Lourdes’ sister. I didn’t understand all the words, but I liked it a lot and learned two more songs. When the mariachis finished, Lourdes’ father hung up a piñata and we all tried to break it open. A handsome young man broke the piñata.
We ate and drank very well. Lourdes’ mother and your aunts prepared savory dishes. I ate chicken tacos and tamales, Lourdes’ mom promised to teach me how to prepare tamales. I returned home at 12:30 AM.
See you later,
Ramona
