Thirty seconds
It is exactly 30 seconds until the lunch bell rings. Everyone is breathing heavily, our eyes are fixed on the clock, and our hands are fidgeting. Twenty seconds until the bell rings. It is kill or be killed. We are ready now if I can just get past Andrew I will have the entire hallway to myself. 15 seconds. I am sooo hungry, why won’t this clock move! 10 seconds. All I need to do is get past Andrew and maneuver around Carlos and I am home free. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1… WHAT!? Nooo!! They forgot to fix the bells again!
