Colton and Cameron yell “Hey Dad!  look there are deer in that field”. Can we pull over and look at them quickly” “Sure that's finel.” Trea and his boys got out of the car and grabbed the binoculars that they packed and watched the deer as they walked across the grass plain on the side of the highway. After they are done looking at the deer the boys get back into their car to carry on. 

After about five hours of driving, Colton says “Can we go and get some snacks I'm hungry again” “No you can wait a little longer to e On a Friday at 4 am Trea and his two boys Colten and Cameron they got up to pack their things and head out into the Colorado mountains to get away for a weekend. Colton was 15 and Cameron was 16, Cameron had more responsibility than his little brother so their dad relied on Cameron to watch after his little brother as soon as the sun rose which was about 7:17 in Wisconsin. Trea and his boys had a long and exhausting 16-hour drive. 

About an hour and a half in Cameron said" I’m hungry can we stop and get some breakfast “Sure that sounds like a good idea why don't we” Trea said. About 15 minutes later they came into a small town and saw a small restaurant called the Early Birld Eatery so they pulled and got out of the car to walk in. When they walked in this girl named Suzie said “Hi welcome to Early Bird Eatry my name is Suzie and I will be your server” Luckily they got there at just the right time because as soon as Suzie sat them down they got packed. Suzie then said “What would you like to start with” “We will all have water.” once Suzie got back to Trea and his two boy’s she gave them their water and then Trea and the boys ordered. After they got done eating they paid and got back on the road as they got in the car they heard a lady yelling hey, hey, hey Trea roles down the window and that's when he realized it was Suzie and she lifted Colton's jacket “You might need this!” she said “indeed I will thank you” Colton replied. 

They finally got back on the road with about 13 and a half hours to go until they made it to their camp in the rocky mountains. As they drive down the road at” After about 10 minutes of Colton begging for food trea finally gives in “Fine well stop at the next gas station that we come across to get some snacks, about 15 minutes later the boys come across another town a very small town. “I don’t know if there will be a gas station in this little town.” As they get to the end of the town Cameron and Colton Realize that they would have to wait just a little bit longer than what they expected to get a snack. About another 5 minutes later they came into a bigger town and the first thing that Everyone saw was this big kwik Trip “Alright boy Looks like you will finally get what you want. Everyone gets out of the car and walks into the gas station to grab some snacks for the rest of the ride. “Alright, you boys can get one snack and one thing to drink, and that's all” so the boys went to grab something to drink and something to eat. After they all got checked out they walked out and Trea saw this guy that looked about the same age as he’s looking at him “Trea is that you?” Trea looks confused “Do I know you” “It's Jerry from high school” Trea finally puts it all together “Hey Jerry how Have you been” “I’ve been good, But what are you doing up here you don't live around here do you?” “No, I don't I'm just taking my two sons on a little trip for a boy's weekend” “Oh ok well I'll see you” Around have fun on that trip of yours” “Okay I will, see you around” 

Trea and the boys finally get back on the road from an unexpected guest interrupting their in-and-out stop. Trea, Cameron, and, Colton are about 15 minutes from their destination “Boys be prepared for no cell phones and only wildlife and you.”

 As they pull up to where they are going to park they get out and pop the trunk to grab their bag and start their journey. They follow the hiking trail and look for a good place to set up camp. After about forty-five minutes of looking for a good flat ground with good resources around it, “Everyone I found the spot come look” Cameron and Trea rushed over to look at the spot that Colton had found “Wow bud you did find the spot we got a lake and everything” they lay their bags down and just sit there and relax for a minute. “well what do you guys think should we get our camp setup?” “Sure” Colton replied. 

As the boys were getting their tent and getting everything organized they heard a loud noise “Did you guys hear that “Yeah” they both responded. “Maybe we should all just wait here at camp before we go and get firewood for the night,” Trea said. So Trea and his boys waited about thirty minutes until they went to get firewood. They picked up branches and small Twiggs for about ten minutes and then returned to camp. The boys stacked a small pile of everything that they collected. They all went to their tents to go to bed so they would be energized for their adventure in the upcoming day. 

The next morning, Trea made some sausage links that he packed over the fire and as soon as Colton and Cameron Smelled the sausage, they immediately got up. “Good morning boy how did you sleep?” “good” they both replied. “What do you say we go and fish for a little bit after we get done eating our breakfast” “Yeah” they both replied in excitement. As they finished up their breakfast Trea went and Grabbed the Three rods that they packed to go fishing with.

 They got done eating changed into their boots and some fishing gear and hiked out to the lake that wasn’t very far from them. When they got out to the lake they heard a loud noise again “ Boys stay close to me it sounds like it's a bear but I'm not sure yet” As they waited for about five minutes they spotted the bear. “Boys Wait here I'm going to grab my bow don't move,” Trea said “Okay we won't” Cameron replied. Trea sprinted back to camp as fast as he could to grab his bow when he got back to camp he grabbed it and grabbed about four arrows and sprinted back to the kids as fast as he could. When Trea returned to the kids he realized that the bear was already approaching them. He quickly grabbed an arrow and cocked his bow back and aimed down just enough that he wouldn’t hit the bear and just scare it. The arrow fired and hit the dirt just below the bear and it ran and Cameron and Colton ran back to Their dad to thank him for saving them. 

As they walked back to camp the boys all thought to their selves living in the wild can be a scary place at times and has many different consequences when you’re out there.
