tap, tap, tap, tap

“Could you not,” Jason snaps with a huff leaning back in his standard low funded public-school chair.

“Nah I’m good,” Allison mumbles continuing to tap her pencil against the card table that was currently being used as a desk.

The detention teacher had left only moments ago and already the teenagers were at each other’s throats. In the three minutes Mrs. Jackson had been gone a total of three pencils had been thrown, two pieces of gum spit a someone, and a slew of curse words from the five students.

“I swear to god Allison if you don’t stop tapping that damn pencil, I’m going to stab myself with it,” Nick grumbles turning around to give Allison his best menacing look.

“Hard pass,” Allison replied coolly not at all threatened by the burly teen boy who was known for being the school’s best wrestler.

“That’s it,” he says lunging at her. She swiftly stands up blocking his easily and watching with glee as he tumbles to the tiled floor with a thud. He returns to his feet grumbling something incoherent while preparing to lunge again when an eraser hits the back of his head. Giggles erupt from both Allison and Carly as the eraser falls to the floor.

“Just give it up Nick,” Jason sighs running his fingers through his blonde hair tiredly.

Nick retreats back to his own fold up desk but not before mumbling obscenities and showing a particular finger to Carly.

“I wonder why Jackson isn’t back yet,” Carly wonders aloud plopping back down in her own seat. “I bet we could ditch by now if we tried.”

“Oh, look Carly had a good idea for once,” Jason chuckles grinning at Nick.

“Take a picture it’ll last longer,” Nick says pulling his phone out of his pocket and literally taking a picture.

“Oh, shut it,” Carly snaps getting up and heading towards the open window, “The second floor isn’t that bad right?”

“Won’t kill us,” Allison mumbles joining Carly at the window, “Wanna go get a coffee?”

Hell yeah.”

And with that the boys watched as the two girls tumble out the window, hearing the loud crash from the girls landing in the bushes.

SH*T.”
