Bathroom Mirror
He stared back at himself. His eyes were a little red, his face a little saggy. He recognized that face. He had promised to avoid him. That boy in the mirror. He turned on the sink. He could deal with it, he thought to himself. But he always ended up back here. In front of this mirror, staring across at himself. He splashed some water on his face. The coolness washed away his thoughts. He dried his face, walked back to his room and back to work. But the boy in the mirror stayed. He would always be there, hurt and unforgetting.
