School
She packs up all her school supplies in her tattered, old backpack. She packs up everything: the pencils, the erasers, and the assorted notebooks. On the way to school, she skips and hums a merry tune. Right in front of the school fence, she sits down. She lays out all her new supplies. She can’t wait for school to start. She can’t wait to sell all her supplies. She needs to sell them. She continues on humming in front of school’s fence, knowing she can never afford to go past it.
