Prologue

People from the seven countries of Central America, are migrating here into the U.S. Most men. Some women. And others children. These millions of people are being stopped by the mexican, and american government. Because of this, there are riots, shootings, and people getting arrested at the U.S/Mexican border. The only thing stopping the Central Americans are the american authorities with the help of the mexican police, and SWAT. Many Children are being pulled away from there familys. Angel is a boy who got separated from his family. And now is in a captivity center in Dallas, Texas. But luckily, he escaped his cell.

                                                             Chapter 1

Angel was cramped in an air vent, panting. “I have to get out of here!” He said in a tired voice.

Somewhere in the distance, he heard a soldier yell. “Go, go, go! He couldn't have gotten that far!

You there! You guard the west gate to make sure the boy doesn't escape!”

“Yes sir!” Said another soldier in a firm voice.

1503 kilometers (934 miles) from Dallas at the U.S./Mexican border, a protest pressed against a line of guards.

“¡Damos nosotros nuestras ninos!” The Central Americans yelled.

“What are they saying?” A U.S soldier asked a Mexican soldier. The U.S. soldier was tall and had blond hair. The Mexican soldier came up to his chin. He had brown eyes and a strong personality. Both firmly holding their guns.

“They are saying: give us our children back!” Explained the Mexican soldier. “Now you explain to me, why are we taking away their children?”

“To threaten them. So they go back to their home countries!” Said the U.S soldier.

Back in the Children Captivity Center. Angel had almost gotten out when he heard soldiers talking. He decided to listen to them because he thought they might say something important.

“So what are you eating for lunch?” Said a soldier to another.

“Um…? I think I might go to the all cuisine restaurant over there on main street.” Said

the other soldier. Angel didn’t think they would say anything

interesting so he went on.

“Hey what's that sound?” Questioned a soldier.

“Wait! I think it’s the boy that escaped not to long ago! He might be in the vents! Hurry, Get the dart guns!” Yelled the other soldier. After Angel heard that, he crawled away as fast as he could. Then he saw the light of the outside.

Angel slid out of the air vent at the east side of the center. grass was surrounding him. He could see the tall lines of a city in the distance.

“Sir, the boy escaped through a vent! We’re not sure which one!” Said a guard. Then the general pounded his fist on the table.

“We have to find the boy, even if we have to travel all of northeastern Texas!” The general yelled.

“Yes sir!” Said the guard firmly.

Angel knelt on the ground and ran his fingers through the wet grass. He heard and saw the guards storming out of the center.

                                                 Chapter 2

Angle wondered where he was. He saw huge buildings that went up to the sky. They were unlike the buildings he had seen in Central America.

He then saw a jogger on the street. The jogger looked about 30. Angel had taken some English classes at school in Belize. The government required it to anyone who was going on this trip.

“Where am I?” He asked.

The man looked interested. Willing to answer any question.

“You are in Dallas. Dallas, Texas.” The man said.

“Can you show me were the U.S/Mexican border is and Dallas is on a map?” Angel asked.

“Okay.” Said the man. Luckily he had a map in his pocket. Angel saw that Dallas was way up high in Texas.

“Here’s your map.” Angel said in a sad voice. Then the man saw that he was sad.

“What's wrong?” Said the man.

“I lost my family.”Angel said.

“Oh, i’m sorry!” Said the man in

           a passionate voice.

“Is there anything I can do?”

“Do you have a car?” Asked Angel.

“Oh, no! I don’t know how to drive!” Said the man in a sorry in his voice.

“That’s okay.” Angel said. Suddenly, Angel heard yelling.

“Look for him everywhere!” Yelled a soldier.

“I’m sorry sir, but I have to ran! Maybe I’ll see you someday!” Then Angel ran as fast as he could.

“Wait, I think I see him!” Yelled the soldier.

“He’s over their!”

“Whoa hey their! I have a question!” Said the man who talked to Angel.

“Yeah? What might that question be?” Questioned the soldier.

“It’s…. um…? You know what? Sorry i’m wasting your time! I’m sure you have more important things to do! So i’m going to leave you two to those things!” Said the man. Than he ran off to catch up with Angel.

“Did you slow them down for me?” Asked Angel.

“Um...yeah! I stalled them, but not very well!” Said the man.

“Oh, and what's your name?” Asked Angel.

“Me? Oh….um, Jacob.”

“ Jacob? That's a cool name.” Said Angel. “Hey, Jacob do you you know where we could travel quickly?”

“Well…we could go the train station. The trains there are really fast! Like bullet fast!” Said Jacob.

“Alright then, let's go there!” Angel said.

-At the train station-

“Alright Angel, welcome to the train station!” Said Jacob.

“Wow!” Exclaimed Angel. “I've never seen anything like it! Back in Belize we only had

train stations ⅛ the size of this one!”

“Ha! You think this is big? Go to  New York City! Their train stations are much bigger than this one!” Explained Jacob.

“So what do we do? I’ve never been to a train station before.” Asked Angel.

“So we go get tickets to go on the train, than we give them to the person who takes the tickets, and then we board the train. Simple, right? But let me see if I have enough money.” Said Jacob.

“Oh shot, I don’t have enough!”

“Wait, we need money?” Asked Angel.

“Yeah, that's how life works in the U.S. If you don't have enough money, they don’t let you get anything, or go anywhere. Unless you have a car.” Said Jacob.

“Now where can we find money?” Asked Angel.

“Well I could go to my house and see if I have enough money there.” Said Jacob.

“Ok, than let’s go!” Angel said with eximete in his voice.

Chapter 3

-425 corners street north Texas- As Jacob unlocked the door, Angel thought of how the inside of an American house looked like.

“Well, this is my house! Make yourself comfortable while I find us some money!” Said Jacob. As soon as Jacob ran upstairs, Angel went to the living room. When he sat down on the the living room couch, it made him think of home. He remembered his brother and sister would play with all day. Until they had to go to sleep.

“Why didn’t I save them when I escaped?” Angel thought to himself. “Why?” Angel said as tears ran down his cheek. Then he heard Jacob running down the stairs. Angel wiped his tears and prepared himself to talk.

“I got the money we needed! Let me Just leave a note here for my wife to see... and I think we're ready to go!” Exclaimed Jacob. They went off to the train station when they saw the soldiers looking for Angel.

“We got to run!” Whispered Jacob. “Run!”

“Hey wait a minute? I think I see the boy that escaped! And his friend!” Said one of the         soldiers.

“Get him!” Yelled the other.

“HURRY! The station isn’t to far from here!” Yelled Jacob.

“We need to go back to the captivity center! Where I was Being held!” Angel yelled to Jacob. “I need to save mi hermana, y mi hermano!”

“What? I can’t really understand spanish!” Jacob yelled.

“I need to save my brother and sister!” Angel yelled.

“Why didn’t you tell me? We could of gone there when I first met you!” Yelled Jacob. Angel looked at Jacob with pleading eyes, and Raised Eyebrows as they ran.

“Alright, then. Let’s go!” Jacob said in a passionate voice. All of a sudden, a whizzing sound just flew by Angel and Jacob. Just missing Angel by a inch.

       “What was that?” Asked Angel.

“I think it was a dart!” Jacob said with fear.

“Ha! You got that right!” A soldier yelled.

“The soldiers shoot a dart at us!” Yelled Jacob. “Peer right! Peer left! Anddddddd, duck!”  Angel and Jacob were so focused on the darts that they almost forgot about the cars. *BEEP* *BEEP*

“AHHHHHHHH!” They all yelled as they were running. They all managed to get off the road, and see another day. All of them were breathing heavily when the soldier said:

“you may have won this time, but mark my words, you will be-” *SHOVE* “Huh? Who did that!” The soldier yelled.

“It was those pranksters who shoved you.” said the other soldier. The pranksters were wearing  matching leather jackets, and gloves. Both looked like there in high school.

“Hey! Get back here!” The first soldier yelled. Then they ran off. And Angel and Jacob went back to the captivity center. But as they went closer, they saw soldiers all around the building.

“How are we going to get in there with the soldiers all around the building like that?” Asked Jacob. “How?”

“Hm…... ? Maybe we can search the building from the outside and see if there is a place that's not so heavily guarded.” Angel said.

“Alright. Let’s do it!” Said Jacob. While he was at his house, Jacob grabbed a pair walkie-talkings just in case, and handed one to Angel before they started their search. A minute later Angel found an entrance. It was the same place he escaped. Over walkie talkie: “I think I found an entrance. It’s the same placed I escaped! Angel said.

“Alright. I’ll be right over.” Jacob said over the walkie talkie. As Angel was waiting, he heard two people talking.

“We are so fired.” Said one of the soldiers that chased Angel and Jacob.

“Yeah. If we can't even catch a little central american boy, what chance do we have on getting into the army!” Yelled the other soldier.

“But hey, at least we got the pranksters. Right?” Angel heard them coming closer. Than he thought:

“¿Esos hombres ortea vez?”

Than he ducked down and moved out of the way so the soldiers wouldn't see him. As they were about to pass Angel, Jacob came running at them at full speed, punching both of them, and knocking them out. “What did you do that?” Angel asked.

“It's what did you do that FOR, and I did that to save you.” Jacob said. “When I was walking towards you, I noticed the soldiers were about to look down, so I decided to punch them.”

“That seems need-needles- that sounds complicated.” Angel said.

“Now duck down, a guard is coming!” They both rolled to the left in the grass to try and avoid the guards.

“Hm… I thought I heard something.” said the soldier that walked to the grass. “well, I better head back.”

     “*sigh*” Sighed Angel and Jacob.

“AH HA! I got you!” Yelled the soldier to Angel and Jacob. “Do you have your passport?” Questioned the soldier.

    “Uhhh… what's a passport?” Asked Angel.

“Run!” Jacob said in a whispered voice. And so they ran.

“Hey come back here!” Yelled the soldier. “I need backup! Send in the dart guns!”

“Oh..No.. not the dart guns!”

Yelled Jacob. *clik* *clik*

“Stop! Put your hands in the air!” Yelled the soldier. “Now, since you don’t have your passport and the rest of your papers, you will stay in the captivity center. For life! Well unless the president allows central americans into the country.” Then the soldier shot a dart at Angel and Jacob. Angel woke up in the captivity center, and Jacob woke in the Dallas prison, both on the cold cement floor, both worried about what was going to happen to them next.

Epilogue

“Wow! If my little brother can escape this captivity center, than so can I! This time with

all my siblings!” Said Angel’s older brother. “Angel must have picked up a lot of information about where we are and how to get around! So tonight me, him, and my hermana are going to escape!

“Ha! Your living a dream Diego! There’s no way we’re going anywhere!” Another boy said.

“Ah, but that's where you're wrong! You see I actually have a map of the vents and sewage system of the building! So Marcos, tonight we all sneak in through one of those, then we escape!” Diego whispered as he was holding on to the bars.
