They’ve been asking these questions for years, but now we will all find out the true story behind, the shoe and its mysterious past.
On a Monday morning, Year (2016), the son shined through the window, hitting our fellow protagonist. Meet Arthur, he is like a typical teenager, interested in video games, computers, Girls...every teenage boy is interested in girls, it’s pretty normal. Overall, you may think this is normal….WRONG!! Arthur lives in a really poor household, his can barely pay for the rent and food, while working 2 jobs but, for him he's grateful for everything his mother has done to him and never complains in any situation they are in. It’s all gonna change now, since Arthur is one day away from beginning his first day of school at Franklin High School.
“Are you ready Arthur?”asked the narrator.
“Let's do it!” replied back Arthur.
“Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep”
“Gotta get up, gotta do everything,” Arthur says to himself.
Arthur quickly changed into his clothes and whooshes down the stairs. Breathing heavily when he got downstairs, he noticed his mom was cooking up breakfast.
“Good morning, mom!! Arthur shouted.
“I don’t have much time, Arthur and remember lock the door!”
“By the way, your breakfast is on the table.” Mom shouted.
Arthur’s mom quickly took off and takes off down the neighborhood.
“Man, Mom is sure in a hurry, didn’t even get to say bye to her.” Arthur said to himself.
“Knock, Knock.”
“Hmmm I wonder who can that be?” Arthur questioned himself.
Arthur slowly opened the door to find his best friend “Paul” standing there.
“You ready to go?” Paul questioned Arthur.
“You betcha, let go.” replied Arthur.
Arthur quickly finished up breakfast, and locked his home’s door and they were off to the nearest high school...Franklin High School. Instantly, when Arthur set his eyes upon Franklin he started to get butterflies in his stomach.
“You, ok?” Paul questioned Arthur.
“Yeah, don’t you about me.” replied Arthur.
Arthur followed Paul throughout the school until they came upon, the booth with the schedule’s
“Look, for your schedule, I have to get to class see you around!” Pauls shouted.
Instanltly, Arthur felt loneliness but he knows what he has to do. He quickly got his schedule and was on his way. While, on his way to 1st period, he felt a shoove from a nearby person, he slightly looked back and noticed this big guy next to, staring him down.
“AHHH!!” Arthur shouted.
“Look who we have here, A NERD!!” Shouted the big guy.
“Who are you and What do you want?” Arthur questioned the big guy.
“The name is Bob, GEEK!! And I’m here to put these knuckles right across your face!” Bob shouted.
Arthur didn’t hesitate and booked it, to his first period. One by One, he was passing through classes looking for his class number. Eventually Arthur came upon his classroom’s number and quickly got in.
“I get you, tomorrow NERD!! Bob shouted.
Arthur was so relieved, he got away and throughout the school, all he can think about what could’ve happened between him and Bob.
“Ring” the bell rang.
Arthur ran home and didn’t even stop, just running the image of Bob, in his head as he got home.
Throught out the months, there in Franklin, Bob kept terrorizing and harrassing Arthur. Slowly, and Slowly Arthur started to lose, he didn’t do his homework, he rarely hunged out with Paul anymore and Paul was getting worried so, he took it upon him, to go check on Arthur.
“Knock, Knock”
Arthur mom slowly opened the door.
“Hey, Paul!” said Arthur’s mom.
“Hello, is Arthur home? Paul questioned Arthur’s mom.
“You can go see for yourself.” replied Arthur’s mom.
Paul, slowly passed through the living room and quicky went up stairs. He approached Arthur’s room.
“Knock, Knock”
Silence through the house and suddenly.
“Yes,” Arthur replied.
“Oh!!” Am I glad to see you, Arthur!” Shouted Paul.
“Ummm...Lets talk tomorrow Paul.” replied Arthur.
“Ok, whatever you want, just glad your ok.” Paul replied.
“Thanks…” Arthur replied.
If only Paul knew what his best friend is going through.
The next day, felt really dark and droopy, like if something bad was gonna happen...if only we knew what was bound to happen. That day, Paul decided to pick up Arthur so they could catch up since he’s been so busy.
“Knock, Knock”
“Hey Paul, what can help with you today?” asked Arthur’s mom.
“Umm I’m just here to pick Arthur up that's all.” replied Paul.
“I’m afraid that can’t happen because Arthur left early today.” replied Arthur’s mom.
“Man, did he really? Well, thank you Ima go see if I can find Arthur bye.” replied Paul.
“Man, I gotta find Arthur I have too” Paul said to himself.
As Paul turned the corner to reach Franklin, he noticed a crowd of people at the front of school, with the fire department and ambulance present with them.
“Man, it was probably a fight.” Paul said to himself.
As he approached the crowd, Paul noticed why everyone was there and it was terrifying.
“ARTHUR!!!” Paul shouted.
There was Arthur just hanging there without life, and Paul attempted to slide through the crowd to approach his best friend.
“Hey kid, where you going?” A police officer questioned Paul.
“That's my friend up there!!” Paul shouted.
Paul watched as the firemen, slowly took down Arthur. As they took him doww, Paul notied that one of Arthur’s shoes stayed behind and saw that the firemen, went back and attempted to get it.
“Hey!!! Leave it there!!!” Paul shouted.
“Why?” replied the local firemen.
“So we can remember, what happen to my best friend, Arthur!!”Paul shouted.
The firemen backed off, and left it there. Days past, after the incident, Paul entered the front gates, he headed towards where the shoe was located and looked up. Paul pointed towards the sky.
“You’re in a better place Arthur!!” Paul shouted.
Instantly Paul started to tearing up and suddenly Paul felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned around to find, Mr.Salas the principle, standing behind him.
“Thank you Paul.” said Mr.Salas.
“For what,” Paul questioned Mr.Salas.
“For leaving, the shoe there.” replied Mr.Salas.
“People have to know, what happened here.” replied Paul.
“Generations from now, will keep telling the story of what happened to Arthur.” replied Mr.Salas.
“Yeah, you’re right...YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN ARTHUR!!!!”
