The girl from nowhere
Once upon a time there was an Island on the Caribbean where the sun was really strong and the Wifi was really weak. In this island people were really kind and everybody helps each other. You could smell the salty fragrance everywhere. All was happiness in that island. Everyone loved going there and spending time at the beautiful beaches. It was a unique place in the world. One day something really bad happened. Something that changed lives forever. The president of that place who was a really nice man, who cared about his citizens passed away. It was a really new time for all the people who lived in pure happiness. It felt like all of those colors just turned black and white. The waves at the beach stopped moving. Nothing worse could happen to them. After days of suffering, the president's wife planned a meeting to give an important announcement. All of them were supposed to meet at the first palm of the island. For some of them it took days to get to that place but all of them traveled anyway. So the president's wife showed up and gave bad news to all of them. The president’s bestfriend was going to replace him. All the citizens were really happy because they thought it was going to continue the same. They even had parties and celebrated the new government. What they did not know is that he was a completely different person. He began governing and those first months were really good for them. After the sixth month, all changed. Between those amazing people there was a Girl named Melissa who was born in a united family. Since her first years of life, Melissa was a sweet girl who loved her parents and friends to death. She loved to read books and collect butterflies. Since the new president took power she knew that nothing would be the same. One day when she got home after a long walk her parents were waiting for her to give her a really important announcement. They were leaving and sadly it wasn't her whole family. Only her and her parents were going to live in a new place. The reason why they were moving was because her dad lost his job because of the new government and they didn't have any way to survive in their island. She had a couple of hours to say bye, but that wasn't enough. Crying and saying bye couldn't be done in 4 hours. They left the next morning to a whole new place that they didn't know. Not even the language. All the beautiful memories and colorful flower petals were just a memory for Melissa. No more coconut water or collecting butterflies. The air wasn't going to smell like salty rocks anymore. She didn't even know what it was going to smell like. She couldn't stop crying for hours. She was mad to her parents and didn't really understand why this happened to her. After long hours of traveling they finally got to this place that was ten times as big as their island. That scared Melissa a lot. She almost knew everybody back home. How could she able to repeat that there? The first months were really hard and of course Melissa and her parents did not have anybody to lean on. Her new school, friends, food were really different and it took time to get used to it. Everytime winter started she got depressed and started missing home again. There was no winter back home. After long years she was just another one from that new place. She did not cry as much. Melissa learned a lot of things from that experience. She understood that hardship can strengthen a person. Leaving everything behind was needed in order to discover a whole new world. Today she thanks life for putting such obstacles in her way
