Dreams. I would know.
I awoke to a swaying, almost weightless feeling. The disorientation when you wake, I welcome it. For a moment you're someone, anyone, else. Then reality hits. I got up quickly, and padded to the water basin. After putting on my dress - my only dress, I headed down long and winding corridors to the kitchens. It would be breakfast soon and I had a job to do. When i arrived it was bustling. "Virginia!" I winced as I heard my name, but grinned at who spoke it. " Mr.Pierre" I said. I turned the corner, towards the sink. "Girl, the dishes will not wash themselves!" he huffed. Pierre was a big man, who spoke with a heavy french accent. ' Yes,sir" I replied as I plunged me hands into the soapy water. When I turned around he was smiling. " You have dreams bigger than this ship, makes a good worker." He said as he turned away. I had dreams, yes, but bigger than the Titanic? Doubtful.dr
