This piece is inspired by the shared experiences of women, specifically wives, that have lost their dear husbands to war. Many men are sent to serve in the military against their will, leaving their wives at home alone to care for the children and themselves. The piece illustrates the heartbreaking scene of a wife as she is informed of her husband's death.
