The key to the dream

Dennis Rodman, an autonomous, fun person, finds out he has tryouts for soccer, so Rodman starts to overthink everything. Rodman starts to think that all his other teammates are ten times better than him at the one sport he loves.

While Rodman is at school, he can't focus up by being unfocused, and careless because of how bad soccer was in his mind. Rodman lets his mom know about today by leaving her a message about the tryouts, he also let her know about how he feels and what he thinks. Rodman's mom leaves him a message trying to motivate him by saying “Focus up and don't let your hopes down, and just try your hardest sweetie”. While Rodman is reading the message, he reads it with a careless face and doesn't care about what his mom said to him.
Rodman goes on to his next class which is his soccer class. In the soccer class his coach Topher Grace, just started going over everything that's going to happen after school for soccer tryouts. Meanwhile coach Grace goes over everything, Rodman's teammates start being cocky at each other over tryouts, by saying “I'm for sure making it, he's booty aint no way he's making the team” and many more ways. After his teammates stopped bragging about each other and being cocky, they looked at Rodman and started to say bad things about him like “what is this bozo doing here, does this man really think he has a chance for the team”. Coach grace interrupts them by saying “guys guys relax u never know what someone's specialties could be on the field”. Once the coach said that it went from being quiet to everyone laughing and saying “ coach you really think this kid has a specialty” and all they did was laugh and laugh. Once the class ended coach Grace goes up to Rodman and says “ don't listen to what they gotta say, all they are trying to do is get in your mind, they are just jealous that you are a hard worker”.

When coach Grace said that to Rodman, he took everything his teammates said, personal, he went to class all serious and focused on proving his teammates wrong. Rodman was desperate because of how much his teammates talked bad about him. Once his last class ended, he was on the way to the locker room to get ready for tryouts.

Once Rodman was all ready and changed the coach said to meet him on the field. The coach ended up splitting half the people into two teams for them to play a scrimmage, and so that the coach could see who he could choose for the team. Rodman played as striker so the coach put him up front vs the other team. The coach knew that Rodman didn't get along with his other teammates so he put them on separate teams.

Then there it was, the game had started and there was already competition for Rodman. Rodman's teammates that talked bad about him all played as defenders, so it was perfect for Rodman to show what he had. Every time Rodman had the ball he did impressive moves, he kept taking the defenders without trying. One of his teammates decided to go for a hard tackle and hurt Rodman's ankle. Coach Grace didn't like what he had seen so he took rodman and his teammate out yelling at them” U think this is acceptable, u have to treat your teammates with respect!!”.

When coach Grace said that, Rodman was a little happy that the coach was on his side, but Rodman still wanted to go out there and show the coach more of what he had. Once Rodman started walking back to the field the coach said “no stay here”. Rodman was confused so he said “Why what happened coach” and the coach replied “you already showed me all the work u had put in there, YOU'RE IN THE TEAM” coach said. Rodman smiled and thought about what his mom said “ she was right, I shouldn't have let myself down”.

As Rodman arrives home with good news for his mom she tells him “ you see I was right this whole time, focus and don't let your hopes down”.
