Wishing to Want
She tells him, "This is what you want. Not what you need."
He cries, "You don't understand! I need it now! He has one and i need one too!"
She shakes her head. "No you don't. You have plenty. You dont need that"
Miles away, a sound is heard. Its a child crying
"Please Ma PLEASE..." He coughs and cough from sickness. His mother is in the hut too. She also starts to cry. She wishes she could tell her child he dosent need it. That its just a foolish want of a child. But she can't. So over her rumbling stomach, she sings her child to sleep

I was inspired to right this after a group of african orphans who had been saved by a Company called watoto and were performing to raise money for other kids in horrible conditions. Just listening to their storys was gut wrenching and so i wrote this to display the feeling. (This is also my first TeenInk story)
