Dragons MAG
Another night where I can't sleep,
The silence cold, the night is deep,
A pain burns inside my heart,
I don't know quite where to start,
Come now and I'll tell you a story,
Full of love and full of glory,
With far-off kingdoms, a sapphire sky,
Where magic rules and dragons fly.
It seems like such a long time ago,
Innocence is bliss, I suppose it's so,
When I knew these worlds did exist,
A fantasy land I could not resist,
And I would run and play outside,
Until one day a dragon died,
A little piece, it fell away,
As I went off to school that day.
Years go by to most unseen,
I don't know what my own words mean,
Friends replace friends, the world grows bright,
With opportunity, a new kind of sight,
But sometimes at night when I'm alone,
I escape to the dragons, the magic zone,
Although each day, one may die,
I still know where the dragons fly.
Now it seems the past is old,
Though I love life, something's cold,
It seems I've lost that magic gift,
Inside of me there is a rift,
I've been hurt by many, reality is so,
Where is the magic? I've lost the way to go,
So now I plainly ask,
Where are all the dragons?
And I thought I had truly lost the light,
Then a tiny voice came to me, out of the night,
"My dear friend, please do not cry,
All you need do is think, love and try."
I listened to these wise words and thought,
My world still exists, all is not for naught,
I closed my eyes and saw the sapphire sky,
The kingdoms, the magic, the dragons that fly,
I rode the white dragon across the land,
My vision clear, I could understand,
Sometimes love hurts or friends disagree,
But my world of magic would
always be waiting for me,
"No matter what happens!" I cried out to a star,
"Because I know where the dragons are."
