It was a beautiful day for Mike Davidson. The sky was filled with flakey white clouds. Mike himself thought that it looked like some one had spilt milk on a baby blue sky. The mid summer breeze cooled off a hot July. But Mike wasn’t concerned with the beautiful atmosphere. He was more concerned with the giant wall he was going to climb. Mother Nature had always put obstacles in our way, but this obstacle happened to be his favorite hobby.

He began climbing the towering rocky, giant. Mike has conquered was like this before, but none as enormous. He ran his fingers across the rocky wall, to find his starting point. He grabbed the rock that jut out this enormous cliff side. He quickly looked for another rock to climb. He found it and grabbed it again. One arm after another, one leg after another. He slowly inched his way up this massive wall. He pushed himself up and up.

About ten years ago he was 16 in high school. It was tough being him at this point in time, because his mom hated him, and so did everyone in school. His mother hated him because he reminded her of her husband. So his mom would find was to get him into trouble. At school it was worse. He was brought down by people every day. One day he went out to hang himself in a park. That’s when he found his passion. A he was fixing the noose he saw a rock wall. He began climbing it. Mark was honestly surprised of all the things rock climbing would be his favorite hobby. He had a deep fear of that. But as his rock climbing popularity grew, and got sponsorships from Red Bull to Mountain Dew.

Surprisingly when he was making high pay for the climbs he does that’s when his mom started to pay attention to him. He ignored her and moved far away. Eventually he found a beautiful wife, and had beautiful kids. And to think that a wall would change his life forever.

And there he was, the last stretch. Mike knew that at this point is where it could make or break him. At this part is where the rocks where truly unstable. But that didn’t matter. All his life he was a rug, always being put down. But he knew that if he climbed this monster, then he could over come anything. He reached forward to grab another rock.

But this rock was unstable. At 2,500 feet in the air he knew that if he made one mistake he would go plummeting to his death. He grabbed the unstable rock and soon realized that he had made a mistake. He panicked and quickly looked for another rock before the rock he was firmly grasping would crumble and fall. Mike knew that if he didn’t grab another rock soon, he would die. He reached out to grab a stable rock, but as he pulled on the rock, it crumbled. The rock that he was holding was slowly unhinging its self from this grand wall. He looked around for another rock, but to no avail. The rock was halfway loose. Mike finally found it. But it was higher than his reach.

The rock was bout to come out any minute now. Mike’s only choice was to jump to gram the rock. He hesitated for awhile. Then he jumped. Luckily he was able to grab the rock safely and continue climbing. As he climbed, he though away his past, for his life came to this one point in his life. He saw it, the top. Inside himself he cried, the outside wanted to jump in happiness. He went over the top and gazed at the amazing scenery at the top. Then he pulled out his phone and took a picture of himself. He then added a comment: “Just conquered the Grand Canyon.”
