The Mosquito Attack
The summer heat was so unbearable. Outside, my friends and I played the entire day. We played many great sports like soccer and baseball. When it was time for dinner, we had burnt hot dogs and overcooked baked beans with salty macaroni salad. After dinner, my friends and I gathered wood to start a fire so we could roast marshmallows. We all gathered around the fire. Everything was going fine until I yelled, “Ouch!” We all looked upward to find a swarm of mosquitoes. One by one, people were falling down of fear and loss of blood. Four of my friends needed to be hospitalized for severe swollen areas on them. My mother fainted when she saw the site of blood. Now, my dad looks like a piece of chewed-up bubblegum. The mosquitoes just overtook my dad and changed him from a human to an unknown species. Every single one of my friends will never come back to my house ever again unless I have a button saying “Mosquito-Off.”
