Florescent Lights
The Florescent lights burn my eyes while I’m trying to pay attention to the white board in front of my face. All my efforts fail as I lose myself in Never Never Land dreaming of the impossible. A siren calls me to the next class as I wonder off in a daze. I am in my own bubble, where no one can reach me. An invisible force field that protects my mind body and soul from the world. The hallway is crowded with people. Calling each other hugging, gossiping about the latest break up, and how their hair looks. Vanity and appearance have taken over the lives of these innocent people. It has cast them under its spell and is holding them in a death grip. The late bell will ring and moment, so I rush to my next class empty mindedly. Only to repeat what I have already done.
