My Name
The name Chase means hunt. It means to pursue. The name reminds you of someone that’s always on the move. Running and trying to catch your goal. But, I don’t really like actual hunting. I know that you need a lot of patience and a good eye. So overall, that wouldn’t be my thing.
I think that my name is a warm name. The color yellow or red/orange. Warm weather, like Florida. How it is usually warm all the time. Kind of like the colors of the sun. I think I’m a warm type of person, someone that likes talking to other people. I’m also a bright person. Meaning usually I’m positive about certain things.
Pronouncing my name makes the shape of a perfectly symmetric hill. It is easy to say. All of the sounds in my name come out smooth. Starting with “CH,” it’s kind of like the sound of a train slowly coming to a stop but without the horn. The letter A represents the top of the hill. This is because it’s the middle letter, and also it starts smoothly making its way down the hill. Adding on with “ASE”. Sounding like the word ace, it comes up your mouth without any problems, making it a smooth word or part of a name.
It is nice having a nickname. Friends and family all use the same nickname too. It doesn’t make the symmetrical hill shape anymore but it’s still smooth to say. The nickname is Chasey. I personally don’t mind if people call me that but it would be different obviously if a teacher or person I didn’t know called me that. I don’t really know how I got my name. It might’ve come from an actor's name or a character in a movie/show that my parents liked.
I am happy with the name I got. One of the names that was originally the selection was the name Landon. You usually don’t know very many people named that but it doesn’t fit me and doesn’t slide off your tongue like how Chase does.
