Plane Trip to Costa Rica

The spring of my sixth grade year, my parents told me that we were going to go to Costa Rica for a vacation. My family and I packed our bags a couple days before we left. The morning of the flight I woke up at 7:45 a.m. and realized that my alarm had not gone off at 6:00 and that we were going to be late for our flight because it was at 10:00, since it was an international flight we had to be at the airport three hours before the flight is supposed to departure. My family and I quickly got ready and we left our house at 7:55. When we were a little less than half way to the airport my dad realized that he had forgotten our passports. So we went back to our home and rapidly looked for the passports and as soon as we found them we got back on the highway and raced to Orlando. We eventually got to the airport at around 9:15 and we rushed to security. We had to wait in the security line for about 25 minutes. After we got out of security my sister had to use the little girl’s room. Afterward we ran to our terminal and got there a few minutes before the doors were about to close.

When we got on the plane and sat down to get ready for takeoff, I had an awful feeling that something terrible was going to happen on the plane but I ignored it.When we got to cruising altitude I felt something slither past my leg. I looked down to see a huge snake getting ready to bite my leg and I quickly moved it before it got me. After this I could tell that someone else on the plane also noticed that there were snakes on our plane. I woke my parents up and told them what was going on, and my dad told us to move to the front of the plane. While we were moving up the plane I heard a woman scream and I realized that she got bite by two snakes. Tried to help my mom from not looking and I told her she was gone. When we got to the front of the plane, I looked outside the window and saw that we were over land. So I decided to get a parachute and open the door and jump out. When I went to get a parachute I saw that there were many of them and I announced to the passengers that were alive to get one and jump out if they wanted to live. All the passengers that jump out landed safely in a field of grass. In the end we got home safely and the investigators could never figure out how so many snakes got on the plane.
