The Island
The Island
Huhuhuhu! I gasped for air as I woke up. I rubbed the blur from eyes; they were burning from salt water. As my vision cleared I realized that I was lying on a beach on some island. No one else was here from what I could see; the beach was completely abandoned. I was stuck on an empty island in the middle of nowhere.
I tried to remember how I had gotten here; the last thing I could remember was my friends and me riding on my dad’s yacht and some random storm coming out of nowhere. Wait, that’s right, I was with my friends, so maybe they washed up on this island too. I got up and started walking around the shore to see if I could find any of my friends or maybe wreckage from the yacht. I noticed some smoke in the distance, coming from far beyond the beach. I found an enormous rock and climbed up to see if I could get a better view of the island or see where the smoke was coming from. From the top of the rock I could see a small airstrip in the distance, and the smoke I saw was actually much farther than I thought. When I saw the airstrip, the first thing that came to my mind was, “a way off this island!”
I got down from the rock and started walking in the direction of the airstrip. I thought to myself, “If I can get to that airstrip, then maybe I can find a plane or someone to fly me off this island.” As I walked through a dense wooded forest I saw some bullet casings on the ground. I picked a few of them up, and they were still hot, as if they had been recently shot. I saw bullet holes in trees as I kept walking. And then I saw what looked like a decomposed body. It was terrifying to look at. This island was beginning to turn into a horror movie. Then out of nowhere…
“Freeze! Don’t move a muscle!”
At that moment I felt rifle barrel against the back of my head. I didn’t panic; I didn’t want to show who ever was pointing this gun at me that I was afraid. He said, “Now turn around slowly.” As I turned around to face him directly, I ducked under the barrel of the gun and pushed it up into the air; while kicking out his legs from underneath him. Now I was the one with gun, and he was at my mercy. At that moment I heard someone saying, “Patrol coming, I repeat patrol come in!” I told him to tell the person on his radio, that everything was fine. After that I told him to bring me to their airstrip, so I could get off this island.
When we got to the airstrip I saw my friends being put on an airplane getting ready to take off. This was my chance to get to save my friends and get off this island all in one shot. I observed the area around the airstrip, there were only a few other guards surprisingly. I knocked out the man who had led me hear as to not alert the guards I was here. All I had to do now was take out the three guards and get to the plane and take out the pilot. One of the guards went towards the woods t take a leak. I went up behind him and broke his neck so he would never make the poor plants suffer again. Two left, and the plane was almost ready to take off. Instead of taking a stealthy approach, I used the gun I had taken from the guard I had just killed and shot the remaining two. I ran to the airplane and was able to sneak in. I put the pilot in a choke hold until he was unconscious. I had been flying planes since I was a kid so I took over for the pilot, so he could rest. I was able to fly the plane off the island but the plane did not have enough gas to take us all the back home. The island we had left was somewhere in the pacific. So we landed in Hawaii and from there we were able to get home
