It’s pretty dark now. We’re walking on the sidewalk, when two dark figures pop out of an alley. I see something shiny in their hands, reflected from the street lights. Somebody pushes me out of the way and the men retreat. We start walking faster, my heart pounding with fear. We walk toward home for around two more minutes, when we see somebody following us. We quickly get inside our home and lock the door.

For this set piece, I wanted to use vagueness to make the situation more interesting. You can see that I didn’t use anybody’s name or where I am, or describe the figures as anything but “dark”.
