   Simmons College Boston, MA: Located on the Fenway in the heart of Boston is Simmons College, a four-year, private college for women. Simmons is a comprehensive college, which mean it combines a liberal arts education with career preparation.

With approximately 1,400 undergraduate and 1,500 graduate students, Simmons is the perfect size for the student who wants personal attention. Most classes have about sixteen students, with a student-faculty ratio of 9: 1.

Simmons is divided into two distinct campuses, the academic and the residential. The academic campus includes the main college building, a dining area known as The Fens and the bookstore. Also included are an art gallery, newspaper office, graphics, and language laboratories, student activity center and music practice rooms.

Just a five-minute walk from the academic campus are nine residence halls, the central dining hall, sports and fitness center and the Quadside Cafe, a common meeting place for area students. The fitness center is known for its eight-lane swimming pool, indoor track and rowing tank.

Simmons offers a variety of majors, including arts administration, communications, environmental science, international relations, and physical therapy. There are a total of 42 departments and programs and the opportunity to double major. There is also an OPEN concentration, which allows students to create their own major.

Boston is the perfect location for the student who wants to live in an exciting college town. It is home to sixty colleges and universities, many within walking distance of Simmons. The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is next door, and the Museum of Fine Arts is also close by. Attractions like Quincy Market are only a subway ride away.

In conclusion, for the student who wants a school with a good academic reputation, a supportive environment, endless job opportunities and an exciting atmosphere, Simmons may be a perfect match. n
